This glossary is a free reference for the 2026 search economy by Murat Ulusoy, SEO & GEO expert and CEO & Head of SEO at SUMAX. The full German glossary defines 53 terms; 33 of them have their own detail page in English and German. They cover classical SEO (canonical tags, hreflang, E-E-A-T, the Helpful Content Update), Generative Engine Optimization (GEO, AI Overviews, AI Mode, RAG, query fan-out, llms.txt) and entity engineering (entities, Knowledge Graph, Knowledge Panel, Schema.org). Each detail page opens with a definition and links its primary sources, such as Google Search Central, the crawler documentation of OpenAI, Anthropic and Perplexity, and research like the GEO paper by Aggarwal et al. (2023). Metrics we developed ourselves, such as AAR, PVI and share of model, are labelled as working models. The pages were last reviewed on September 23, 2026, including Google's changes to FAQ rich results, Search Console and llms.txt. All content may be cited under CC BY 4.0.
